BA Curating and Art History Placements 2020-21

All the second-year undergraduates studying for thee University of York BA in Curating and Art History have now completed, or nearly, their placements with museums and galleries across the Region.  This year, because of the pandemic, all the placements have taken place virtually, with the hope that before the end of the academic year there might be the possibility of visiting their placement institution.  In the meantime, the experience has proven to be no less positive, with students engaged in a range of digital projects involving both research and public engagement.

As well as placements at Castle Howard, the Ferens Art Gallery, and the National Railway Museum, this year for the first time, we have had placements with the Arts Council; Beverley Art Gallery; and St Mary's Church, Beverley.

The placement at Beverley Art Gallery was featured in an article in the York Press.
