Research Seminar – Sculpting Architecture: Donatello’s Banquet of Herod (2014)

Professor Amanda Lillie (University of York) gave a research seminar at the National Gallery in November 2014, on Donatello’s marble relief panel The Banquet of Herod (Palais des Beaux-Arts, Lille).

Professor Lillie’s paper, entitled ‘Sculpting Architecture: Donatello’s Banquet of Herod in Lille’, was given to coincide with the National Gallery’s exhibition Building the Picture: Architecture in Italian Renaissance Painting, which she also co-curated.
