Botticelli Reimagined: V&A exhibition catalogue (2016)Botticelli Reimagined is the catalogue accompanying the exhibition held at the V&A from 5 March to 3 July 2016.

The catalogue traces the fascinating history of the shifting appropriations and re-evaluations of Sandro Botticelli (1445-1510) and his work right up to the present.  It presents more than forty original works of art by Botticelli in the context of these later adaptations and interpretations in a range of media that spans painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video, fashion and design. Beginning with Vasari’s Life of Botticelli (Lives of the Artists), Botticelli Reimagined then features new contributions from more than twenty scholars.  Professor Elizabeth Prettejohn (University of York) contributed the chapter entitled ‘Botticelli and the Pre-Raphaelites’.

For further information see the book's WorldCat entry.
