Flesh is the catalogue accompanying the exhibition of the same name that was on show at York Art Gallery from 23 September 2016 to 19 March 2017. The catalogue was compiled by the exhibition’s co-curators, Dr Jo Applin (Courtauld Institute of Art; formerly University of York) and Laura Turner (Senior Curator of Art and Science, York Museums Trust). They each contributed an essay to the catalogue, along with Dr Mechthild Fend (University College London).

The catalogue also reproduces a poem written especially for the exhibition: Skin by Andrew McMillan.
